In 2012 a Z trim was added in India, becoming the flagship grade above the VX, and a second facelift was introduced at the 11th Auto Expo with an updated bumper design, grille, headlights and newly designed alloy wheels. In the Philippines the second facelift version was introduced in 2012. It was model year 9 of 11 in the Toyota Innova (first generation, AN40), 2004 to 2014, coming after the 2011 model year and before the 2013 model year.
