The 2012 MKS was the fourth model year, with a facelift being readied for the 2013 model year to debut at the 2011 Los Angeles show. The MKS used V6 engines, a 3.7 liter Cyclone and a twin turbocharged 3.5 liter EcoBoost shared with the Taurus SHO. It was a four door full size luxury sedan that Ford built for Lincoln, in production since May 2008. It was built at the Chicago Assembly Plant. The MKS was based on the Ford D3 platform with a front mounted engine and front or all wheel drive.
