The Aston Martin Cygnet, a rebadged variant of the iQ, went on sale in January 2011, first in the UK, to help Aston Martin comply with the European Union emission limits for 2012. A prototype of the Toyota eQ electric version was exhibited at the Geneva show in 2011, based on the FT-EV III concept from the Tokyo show. It was model year 4 of 9 in the Toyota iQ (single generation), 2008 to 2016, coming after the 2010 model year and before the 2012 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota iQ run from 2008 to 2016.
