By November 2011 the United Kingdom trims of the Galaxy were Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X. A popular selling point of it and the S-Max was a system letting the second and third row seats fold flat into the floor, though this reduced the load capacity. It was slotted between the Tourneo Connect and the Tourneo Custom in the Ford range, and was the first Ford brand people carrier made outside North America. The Galaxy was a seven seat people carrier that Ford built for the European market, sharing its platform with the Mondeo in its later forms.
