For 2011 the base LS, or 1LS, Malibu gained more standard features such as Bluetooth technology with stereo audio playback, a remote USB and iPod and iPhone port, remote start, a security alarm, an upgraded OnStar system and a power front driver's seat. It was also the year after the Malibu Hybrid, available to fleets only in 2010, was discontinued altogether. The base LS also gained chrome hubcap wheel covers and body colored side mirrors, among its added standard features.
