The 2010 Compass was the last of the model years in which the Compass did not carry the Trail Rated badge, as it received the badge for the 2011 model year. The Compass and Patriot are both based on the GS platform, assembled in Belvidere, Illinois. The Sport served as the base model, with features including seventeen inch alloy wheels, an AM and FM stereo with single disc CD player and four speakers, and manual roll up windows.
