In 2010 the second generation Ka had an overall Euro NCAP safety rating of four stars, with standard driver and passenger single stage front airbags, ABS, immobiliser and remote central locking. Three Ford Individual packs were introduced with special characteristics each, called Tattoo, Grand Prix and Digital. The Ka used an electrically assisted steering system, making the steering much lighter and more energy efficient than its predecessor.
