For 2010 the Crown Victoria saw changes to the long running VIN designation for each trim. The car by then was sold only to fleets, as the Police Interceptor, the commercial taxi and the standard fleet model, and in the Middle East. New York City, where the Crown Victoria had been the main yellow cab for over a decade, started its Taxi of Tomorrow program to replace it. The Middle East remained a market for the export cars.
