For the 2010 model year the TSX added an optional 3.5 litre V6 making 280 horsepower, announced in February 2009 and shared with the larger TL, though not offered on the European Accord. The V6 came only with the five-speed automatic with paddle shifters and 18 inch alloy wheels, in Premium or Technology trims. A diesel TSX that had been planned for this period was cancelled once Honda gave up on diesels for America and Japan in favor of hybrids.
