Saab revised its plans to replace the 9-7X after a short two year lifespan, and the Oldsmobile Bravada based body on frame SUV continued production until the 2009 model year, so the Saab version of the Tribeca was never sold. The 2009 Tribeca was in its fourth model year of the Legacy based crossover. It was not sold in Japan. The Tribeca takes its name from the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City. The Tribeca was released in some markets, including Canada, as the Subaru B9 Tribeca.
