For 2009 the 2.4 liter four cylinder engines were added to the coupe lineup, and General Motors revised the G6 in the middle of the year, creating a 2009.5 model year. Coupes and convertibles ceased production at the end of the 2009 model year, making examples with the 2009.5 changes fairly rare. With its quality issues, a late launch and slow sales, the G6 convertible was discontinued after model year 2009.
