In 2009 the Fusion was in its seventh year, a five door, five passenger front wheel drive mini MPV of the B segment. It still used the high h point seating and the rear theatre style seats that had been its selling points, and its flat load floor, fold flat front passenger seat and 60 and 40 folding rear seats. In Latin America its crossover relative, the EcoSport, continued to be sold with greater ground clearance.
