A second facelift came in May 2009, with a rounder fascia like that of the facelifted Ranger, new front fenders, hood, headlights, grille and bumper, larger 18 inch polished alloy wheels and a redesigned tailgate with new tail lamps. The changes were less prominent than the 2006 facelift. In India the Everest was called the Endeavour, and the SUV had no Mazda counterpart. The Everest was a seven seat SUV built on the Ranger pickup and sold mainly in the Asia Pacific region.
