Toyota gave the RAV4 a mid cycle refresh in 2008 for the 2009 model year in some markets, with a redesigned front end and a tweaked rear. A 2.5 liter 2AR-FE engine replaced the 2.4 liter, and North American production moved to the new West Plant in Woodstock, Ontario in November. It was model year 3 of 7 in the Toyota RAV4 (third generation, XA30), 2006 to 2012, coming after the 2007 model year and before the 2009 model year.
