The Vectra was replaced in October 2008 by the new Opel Insignia, alongside the larger Opel Signum, with the nameplate spanning three generations and almost twenty one years. The 3.2 liter V6 had been the range topper of the Vectra C. The Vectra C was built on the GM Epsilon platform shared with the Saab 9 3. The 2008 Vectra was the last model year of the third generation, replaced by the Insignia after almost twenty one years.
