The Minica of 2008 was only built in the models intended for commercial use, after the passenger versions had been discontinued in 2007. It was in its eleventh year as the eighth generation, a kei car with a 657 cc three cylinder engine, and the eK, which was the direct successor of the Minica, served as the passenger car of the kei class of Mitsubishi. The Minica was the long-running kei car series from Mitsubishi Motors.
