The Endeavor of 2007 was the fifth model year of the mid size crossover SUV built in Normal, Illinois. It was the first vehicle built under Mitsubishi's Project America, based on the PS platform, with a design that traced back to the SSU concept of 1999, and sales that had fallen every year since its debut year of 2003. The SSU prototype was powered by a 305 horsepower 2.5 liter twin turbo V6 with a full time all wheel drive system.
