The Endeavor received a mild restyle for the 2006 model year. It was the fourth model year of the crossover built at Normal, Illinois, using the 6G75 3.8 liter V6 and a four speed automatic transmission, with front wheel drive or the optional all wheel drive system that splits the torque 50/50 by default. The Endeavor was built on the PS platform and was the first vehicle under Project America. Its design origins can be traced to the Mitsubishi SSU shown at the 1999 North American International Auto Show, though it does not share the concept's mechanical parts.
