In August 2007 4WD and GL Super trim levels were discontinued, and a diesel particulate filter was introduced for diesel engine models. Power windows and central locking were also introduced for all truck models. The Bongo of 2007 was in its ninth year of the fourth generation. It also formed the basis for the long running Kia Bongo range. The Bongo was also known as the Ford Econovan and Eunos Cargo, and it has been built with rear, middle and front mounted engines.
