The short wheelbase Tahoe and its police counterpart began production at Arlington Assembly on December 1, 2005, and short wheelbase Yukon production began in early 2006, with Janesville Assembly coming online as well. General Motors redesigned the Tahoe and Yukon on the GMT900 platform for the 2007 model year, and the GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Tahoe received different front fascias. The 2007 Yukon had a different front end than the Tahoe.
