The second generation Super Duty was originally going to debut for the 2007 model year, but quality issues pushed it back to the 2008 model year, so the 2007 trucks were the last of the first generation. A Harley Davidson edition was sold from 2004 to 2007. Ford assembles the trucks at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and at Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake. The Super Duty is a dedicated heavy duty variant of the F Series, sold above the F 150 with Power Stroke diesel engines as an option.
