The Sienta received a facelift on 16 May 2006, three years after its introduction, with double electric powered sliding doors on the facelifted models. At the time of the facelift production was moved from Toyota's Takaoka plant to Daihatsu's Kyoto plant. It was model year 2 of 4 in the Toyota Sienta (first generation, XP80), 2003 to 2014, coming after the 2005 model year and before the 2007 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Sienta run from 2003 to 2023.
