The Tundra's grille was updated for the 2003 model year, and a new Stepside bed became available on Access Cab models. In 2003 a T3 Special Edition was sold along with the release of the film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, and a Double Cab was added late in the year. It was model year 4 of 7 in the Toyota Tundra (first generation, XK30 and XK40), 2000 to 2006, coming after the 2002 model year and before the 2004 model year.
