The 2003 Sable was the fourth year of the fourth generation, the mid size Mercury sedan and wagon that served as the counterpart of the Ford Taurus, with the conventional styling and taller roof introduced in late 1999. It was produced at the Atlanta plant, which would build the last Sable on 29 April 2005, before Mercury replaced it with the Montego and Milan. It was sold by Mercury in GS and LS trims. The fourth generation Sable was a mid size car, offered as a four door sedan and a five door station wagon.
