The Kijang received a second facelift of the fourth generation on 23 August 2002, with the facelifted SSX and LSX equipped with electric mirrors and a 1.8 liter EFI petrol engine as the new standard. The Qualis in India received a revamp in 2002. It was model year 3 of 4 in the Toyota Kijang (fourth generation, F60, F70 and F80), 1997 to 2007, coming after the 2001 model year and before the 2003 model year.
