2002 Mitsubishi Galant

Automobiles

The Galant received a facelift for the 2002 model year, and the 2.4 liter engine was derated to 140 horsepower. It was a mid size sedan built at Normal, Illinois, by the plant then owned by Mitsubishi Motors North America, in its seventh year of the eighth generation, with the four cylinder and V6 engines, and sold in Canada and Mexico too. The name Galant comes from the French word for chivalrous. The Galant evolved from a compact sedan into a mid-size car over its life.
