In 2001 Toyota introduced a convertible only successor in Japan as the Z40 series Soarer and elsewhere as the SC 430, largely identical to its Lexus equivalent. The JZZ30 was the only Z30 model sold continuously until production ceased in 2001. This was the first model year of the Toyota Soarer (fourth generation, Z40), 2001 to 2005, which took over from the Toyota Soarer (third generation, Z30); the 2002 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Soarer run from 1981 to 2005.
