2000 Land Rover Discovery

Automobiles

In 2000 the Series II Discovery carried on as built since 1998, with the Td5 or the V8, and the ACE active cornering enhancement system, an electronically controlled hydraulic anti-roll bar that could counter up to one g of lateral acceleration in a tenth of a second, fitted to some versions. Self-levelling air springs were also fitted to some, and European type approval for seven-seaters was only given to air-sprung examples. The year was also when BMW broke up Rover Group and sold Land Rover to Ford.
