Revised suspension tuning for a smoother ride was introduced for the 1999 Breeze. The Breeze was the entry level car of the Plymouth lineup, at a time when Chrysler's marketing strategy addressed concerns that its brands were treading into each other's marketing territory, with Plymouth as Chrysler Corporation's low price brand. The Breeze shared its four wheel independent suspension with the Cirrus and Stratus.
