The AU Falcon of 1999 had external model differentiation achieved via different grilles and bonnets, with a low bonnet and vertical waterfall grille on the Forte, a horizontal single bar on the Futura, an integrated quad lamp bumper bar and grille on the XR sports range, and a high bonnet and large grille on the Fairmont range. The Falcon van production ended in 1999. The AU did not particularly endear itself to its buyers.
