1998 Range Rover (P38A)

Automobiles

After 1998 the diesel P38A received an EGR system and a plastic inlet manifold in place of the aluminium one fitted to the early cars from 1994, with a modulator returning part of the exhaust gas to the manifold, and cars from that time used a mass airflow sensor for better economy and cleaner running. The petrol models carried a 4.0-litre V8 of 190 horsepower or a 4.6-litre of 230, both managed by the Lucas GEMS system.
