For 1998 the Windstar was revised after a shortened 1997 model year, and the Limited trim was introduced, distinguished by its monochromatic exterior, five spoke 16 inch chrome wheels and wood interior trim, with front fog lamps, leather seats and keyless entry. The Windstar was available as a cargo van from 1995 to 1998, and as GL, LX and 3.0L models. The second generation was released in the summer of 1998 as a 1999 model.
