1998 Ford Contour

Released in January 1997 for the 1998 model year, an updated Contour had a new design for the front and rear fascias with a chrome grille surround and larger headlights, and the roof line was altered and the rear deck shortened for improved rear seat headroom. The five speed manual changed from rod shift to cable shift, the SVT Contour debuted with 195 horsepower, and second generation airbags became standard. The Contour was a mid size four door sedan, but among the smallest in its segment.
