There were minor changes for the Aurora in 1997, and on some 1997 models a modest Oldsmobile badge returned to the right rear corner of the car along with the Aurora name. The Aurora had used a stylized A emblem instead of the traditional rocket since its introduction, foreshadowing a similar restyling of Oldsmobile's corporate rocket emblem for 1997, and was powered by a four liter V8. Oldsmobile's rocket emblem was restyled for 1997.
