1997 Mazda RX-7

Automobiles

In 1997 the Japanese FD RX-7 was produced in the Series 7 form, with its 16 bit computer and redesigned rear spoiler, and Mazda released two more limited editions, the RB Bathurst X in January, limited to 700 cars, and the RS-R in October, limited to 500. The Type RZ now had larger brake rotors and 17 inch BBS wheels, and the car was sold through both the Mazda and Efini dealers. The sequential twin turbo system was extremely complex and was developed with the aid of Hitachi.
