1996 Chrysler Sebring

Automobiles

In 1996 Chrysler introduced the convertible, replacing its LeBaron counterpart. The first generation convertible was marketed as the Chrysler Stratus in Mexico and Europe, and was assembled in Mexico alongside the Cirrus sedan. The Sebring coupe, built by Mitsubishi in Normal, Illinois, was a significant departure from the sedan and convertible, and the convertible came in JX and JXi trims. The convertible replaced the LeBaron convertible in the Chrysler lineup.
