Sales of the Ram increased to 410,000 in 1995. A natural gas powered engine debuted for the 1995 model year, but was not popular and was only used in fleet vehicles on a limited production run. The engine offerings were carried over from the last generation, the 3.9 liter V6, 5.2 liter V8, 5.9 liter V8 and 5.9 liter inline six Cummins turbo diesel, with a 300 horsepower 8.0 liter gasoline V10 added, the first factory V10 truck.
