A V6 arrived in the U.S. Accord during 1994 for the 1995 model year: the 2.7 liter C27A, taken from the first-generation Acura Legend. Both the LX and EX sedans could have the V6, badged LX-V6 and EX-V6, and because the larger engine needed major changes to the CD platform, those cars had higher front bumpers and a different hood than the four cylinder versions. Both V6 versions received a dual outlet exhaust and a four speed automatic transmission. Apart from a handful of new exterior and interior color pairings, the Accord changed very little for 1995.
