In 1994 the Evolution II was in production, from December 1993 until February 1995, mainly with handling improvements. Most cars came with 15 inch OZ five spoke wheels from the factory, although the RS models, mostly sold to privateer racing teams, left the factory with steel wheels. The Evolution II had a 50 liter fuel tank and 260 PS from the same engine. The Lancer Evolution was a sports sedan and rally car based on the Lancer, made by Mitsubishi Motors from 1992 until 2016, with ten official versions.
