A battery electric version called the Crown Majesta EV was made as a lease only vehicle in 1993. The S140 continued to be sold in Japan as a four door hardtop sedan at Toyota Store dealerships. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Crown Majesta (first generation, S140), 1991 to 1994, and the Toyota Crown Majesta (second generation, S150) came next, following the 1992 model year.
