Four wheel anti-lock braking replaced rear wheel ABS in the Bronco for 1993. The monochrome paint versions were reintroduced from 1993, sold as 1994 models, as the XLT Sport in black, red or white. The redesign of the fifth generation included a safety front crumple zone in the frame and a center mounted brake light on the hardtop, which was now the mounting point of three point seat belts for rear passengers, so that the hardtop could no longer be marketed as a lift off one.
