The 1993 Fifth Avenue saw few changes because Chrysler had introduced the LH platform Chrysler Concorde as the successor to the New Yorker Salon, moving away from traditional luxury sedan designs. The Y platform Fifth Avenue and Imperial marked the zenith of that design, longer than the Chrysler minivans. Following the 1993 model year Chrysler retired the Y platform and both nameplates, replacing them with the LH New Yorker and LHS.
