The Previa was the first minivan to meet all US safety standards for passenger cars for the 1992 model year, which included fitment of a driver's side airbag and under dash knee bolsters. In Japan, the smaller Estima Lucida and Estima Emina were produced from 13 January 1992. It was model year 3 of 9 in the Toyota Previa (first generation, XR10 and XR20), 1990 to 1999, coming after the 1991 model year and before the 1993 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Previa run from 1990 to 2019.
