The Presso of 1992 was in its first full year, a Japanese hatchback coupe of the Eunos channel with the K8-ZE 1.8 liter V6 24 valve engine as the only choice at first, in the Hi-X, Fi-X and Fi-X SV grades, the last with a premium audio system and a viscous limited slip differential. Its compact body, V6 engine and advanced design drew attention, and it used the E platform of Mazda. The Presso was sold abroad as the Mazda MX-3, as the MX-3 Precidia in Canada and as the Eunos 30X in Australia.
