The Sprinter Trueno and Corolla Levin underwent a full overhaul in June 1991 with the sixth generation models, the AE100 and AE101, based on the E100 series. The GT-APEX Limited was later offered to both the Levin and Trueno in January 1991, limited to 1000 units. This was the first model year of the Toyota Sprinter Trueno (AE100 and AE101 series), 1991 to 1994, which took over from the Toyota Sprinter Trueno (AE91 and AE92 series); the 1992 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Sprinter Trueno run from 1972 to 2000.
