The S140 hardtop of 1991 broke with the traditional Crown look and introduced the Royal Touring trim. In August the sedan, wagon and van were restyled while keeping the S130 code, and a bigger bodied turbodiesel sedan was presented in October. This was the first model year of the Toyota Crown (ninth generation, S140), 1991 to 1994, which took over from the Toyota Crown (eighth generation, S130); the 1992 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Crown run from 1955 to 2026.
