1991 Subaru XT

Automobiles

The XT ended in 1991 after a production run of just over 98,000. The model was succeeded by the Subaru Alcyone SVX in 1992. The name referred to the star Alcyone, the brightest in the Pleiades star cluster, which is the basis for the Subaru logo. It was a 2+2 coupe manufactured by Subaru from 1985 to 1991. Subaru's trademark boxer engine enabled the pronounced wedge shape of the bodywork. The XT used a single 22 inch windshield wiper which tucked under the hood when not in use.
