Honda announced the Accord wagon for the 1991 model year during early 1990, to be assembled at the Marysville, Ohio plant, and production started in late November 1990. Unlike other U.S. Accords it included a driver's side airbag as standard equipment, and it was called the Aerodeck in Europe. Honda also reintroduced the SE sedan for 1991, now with a fuel injected 140 hp engine, a four speed automatic and four wheel disc brakes with ABS as standard. The 1991 EX gained 5 hp from a different exhaust manifold design, and motorised shoulder belts remained on U.S. cars for 1991.
