An optional canvas sunroof was added to the Revue in February 1991, and in Europe the car was sold as the Mazda 121 from 1991, with a 16 valve 1.3 liter engine of 73 PS and a 1.1 liter version in markets where tax and insurance rules suited it. While others chased aerodynamics, the tall Revue had a very poor drag coefficient of 0.40. Mazda sold the Revue in many export markets as the Mazda 121. The tall Revue had a very uncompetitive drag coefficient of Cd=0.40.
