The Autozam Revue was introduced in 1990 as a subcompact car sold by Autozam, the Mazda channel aimed at young buyers. It was a small four door saloon with a tall, rounded shape and a very short, separate trunk, which caused some consternation. The car had a 1.3 liter engine and was sold in many export markets as the Mazda 121, replacing the previous 121 that had been based on the first generation Ford Festiva. The Revue was a subcompact car with 1.1-, 1.3- and 1.5-litre engines.
